New ReviewerBuilding debris, erosion blanket, metal stakes removed by DR Horton. Thank you DR Horton.
5/25/2022: A bulldozer and dump truck are currently clearing away the piles of building debris, erosion blanket, metal stakes, and blight left behind after construction. After much bouncing responsibility from developer to HOA to DR Horton, I wish to thank DR Horton & Hope @ DR Horton for responding to my request.
It is greatly appreciated! The neighborhood is now free from blight.
Dear DR Horton Customer Service, I have been in contact with DR Horton, the Developer and the HOA to remedy a safety hazard in the White Gate Loop common area of Hitchcock Crossing Aiken SC. The developer has cleared the erosion blanket, building refuse, and metal stakes into a pile near Prides Crossing and White Gate Loop.
This wood, erosion shield, metal stakes, etc., pile is attracting wildlife.
Several foxes, possums, feral cats, and more critters are living and roaming our common area making it unsafe in our backyard. We are finding dead carcasses in the common area due to these predators.
The Developer cleared this mess into a pile several months ago, but no one has come to remove the blight. Several calls to the HOA and they state it is DR Horton responsibility. DR Horton shifts responsibility to the developer and the developer states it is DR Horton.
Please remedy this health issue ASAP.
Sincerely,
Michele M, RN, BSN, MS

On 5/17 late afternoon DR Horton representative called stating this is the developers responsibility, but DR Horton would send someone to clean pile. Will follow up when Pile of blight is cleared.
Preferred solution: Clear the blight from the erosion blanket and builder trash left in the pile behind our home.
Location: Aiken, South Carolina
