Prior to purchasing our home in January 2010, we asked a D.R. Horton sales representative whether cable, internet and phone services were available in the development and specifically for the lot we were considering purchasing in Hopewell's Landing Section II in Gainesville, VA.

The sales representative responded that services were available and that the lines, etc. had already been laid. This was a total lie.

It is now June 2011 and we still do not have internet, cable or phone services available. We and our neighbors have taken this issue up with D.

R. Horton President for the VA/MD/DE area (as well as local service providers Comcast and Verizon) to no avail.

Horton's response or lack thereof is totally unacceptable as is their apparent lack of concern about deceptive sales practices which continue as noted by neighbors who purchased after we did, from a different sales agent, and were also incorrectly told that internet, cable, etc. were available in the community.

still no internet october 9th i was the third to buy here long time without internet
